2.5lb halon is most common for handheld removable. I rarely see 1.25lb or 3lb. The full fire systems are usually are 5-10lbs, with 3 nozzles for front, cabin, and engine.

One more consideration;
My old Euro M-6 had it factory bolted to the floor in front of the drivers seat which is an ideal out of the way location as well as being readily available in all situations.
