I heard there are two types of pads, yellow color and black color, for PCCBs. Some say yellow one produce more noise than a black, which are fitted in later models. Anyone here done the switch to black color pads? I made a video of the sound and it's on youtube here. Try listen to it, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzYquSqn2ow

Stop worrying about the noise. It's completely normal.

I have used the Pagid RS-14 Black, dusty, and now the Pagid Porsche Cup spec race pad, P50.
I like the race pad's, less squeal than stock and they work great cold, wet is still a problem.

Pagid P50 (green) compound can be used. You can get it from Porsche Motorsport NA.

I would not recommend you try these pads because they are performance pads and will squeal even more.

996 351 940 92 Front Axle Brake Pad Set
996 352 930 90 Rear Axle Brake Pad Set
964 612 026 70 Jumper plug (4 ea. required)

NOTE: You can't get these at the regular Porsche service department. You must know someone from Porsche Motorsport NA.

Safety first then the sound... be careful on the aftermarket "race", "track", "no dust" pads!
