Yes and no. They only seem to come loose when doing autocross. On big tracks they stay on. There are two types of lock tight out there, a permanent and temporary. I use the temporary kind so if I want to change the settings in the future, I can just muscle it off.

 

My GT3 doesn't have an electric pump but everything else listed above. Any chance those are available used?

New owner of an '04: moving this back to the top in hopes someone can provide a direction for me.

Does anyone have a source/part number for the piece of "trunk floor" that covers the tool set in front of the car? I have a "cover" that seems to be black carpeted cardboard (or similar) that fits nicely over the tool set, and creates a floor to put stuff on..... it could be aftermarket/home made, but it fits real good. Anyone know where to buy a replacement? A part no? Anything? So far, even the dealers haven't been able to help.

Can you post pictures? The cover you described is exactly what comes with these cars.

 

Will do this weekend. I thought as much, but the dealer couldn't find this piece in his computer/db. He even went as far as faxing me the schematic of the front trunk area, labeled something like "GT3" with MY 04, and it doesn't show the piece (looks suspiciously like a 996C2).....

Ratchet with a 15mm socket for those damn stabilizer bar nuts that loosen up (same size front and rear and they can all be reached without jacking the car up), zip ties, duct tape, hand cleaner, magnetic screwdiver with assorted bits, quart of oil, a liter of water, a towel to put on the ground in case I need to get under the car, 12 volt rechargeable flash light, telescoping magnet, assorted size hose clamps, handful of shop rags, and some latex gloves.

Replacing mine, which was OEM, but just battered and bruised. Got it from those Sunset folks that were mentioned. Should be here this week.
