Caveat Emptor !
I want to second the BE CAREFUL comment. I
bought a $3000 policy on my wife's Audi and within 6 months (before we ever submitted a claim), the company went belly-up on us.
What a bummer!

In the opposite regard, because my late wife loved her Jaguars, I always had an extended service contract, which paid off handsomely for us. Same company over 15 years, 3 Jags. Never had a problem. However, that company no longer writes in CA (as I note above), so have gone to a company offered by the dealer.
