Default -- Gt2 VS Turbo -- Intercooler Physical difference

Hi,

I am a little concerned. I purchased a set of used Gt2 intercoolers and once I had my Turbo intercooler removed (no X50), I realized that they are physically the same.... They have the same number of row, the same depth, width and height and even the weight is the same. The only thing that is different, is the part number on the intercooler (it has not been altered IMO).

The part number on the Gt2 intercooler is 996 110 989 70 and 996 110 990 70 and both has AKG 10/01 sticker on them.

Is that normal or did I got scammed ?

I read here somewhere that the GT2 intercooler has "Ridges" along the bottom of the core vs the smooth surface on the Turbo. Visible also from the bumper vents.
Check the 996TT section to find the thread. I think I typed in X50 as the search words.
