2004 GT3 Suspension Settings
Next month will be the first track outing for my recently purchased GT3. Any suggestions on suspension settings?
I will be using Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

Do you have a track that you are more specific to?
Do you have a quality race shop near you that can do a "proper" aliignment?
What kind of driver are you in the car?
Here are some minimum, etc., numbers regarding the MPSC LINK
Remember, there is NO be all, end all in the alignment settings and no "universal" fix for everybody. Just need to know a bit about what you are looking for out of your track day and your skill level.

Qwick, if you're not familiar with the 996 chassis and driving dynamics, I would keep your GT3 on the stock alignment and street rubber until you sort of get to know your new machine. There's a LOT of car there to be exploited.
When the alignment is tailored perfectly, you're in heaven. If you have an inexperienced shop screw things up... you'll p*ss away your weekend and be looking for rocks to throw through the shop window.
If you're an experienced driver with lots of seat time in other rear weight biased cars, then just toss everything I just said, start with the Kussmaul settings, and go from there.
If you run the Cups on the stock alignment, the outside edges will be gone by the time you read this post.

Thanks for your help/I will search "Kussmaul"/I drive at both LRP and WGI, with a least one trip per season to Summit Point and NHIS. I have years of track experience on my present heavilly modified 993TT with Cup tires, but I know the 996 GT3 is a totally different animal. First outing or two, I intend to run my street PS2 tires.
