Default Durametric Result: P1601

I ran the durametric diagnosis on an '04 GT3 today and it spit out P1601 - Factory Fault Code 660 - CAN timeout instrument cluster.

Does anyone have any feedback on that one? The code comes up in a few searches but not for the instrument cluster error.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike, that one is a bit of a mistery and we've seen it many times on 996s, 996TTs etc... Have you ever disconnected your battery or done anything like that? It usually shows up on cars that have had the battery die or disconnected...

I'm pretty sure that's the case. The battery cover was removed on the car. Eitherit had just been replaced or recharged from low/dead.
