Does the CPO really add this much to the price?

They can ASK whatever they want. Doesn't mean that will get anything close to that number. My guess is the first person to throw low 80s at them wins.

I wish they were selling for that much. lol. That car will sit for a while at that price, unless some uneducated money bags walks in the door and wants it.

I hope they get it! Let's hear it for those uneducated moneybags. I hope they're around if I ever sell.

The guys on this forum are only a fraction of the "educated" buying public. Plenty of moneybags out there that have no idea what Rennlist is about.

Why would it be CPO when it is still under factory warranty.......????????????
Maybe the seller doesn't know squat.

Seller is a Porsche dealer and the CPO kicks in after the factory warranty runs out...an additional 2 years and up to 100K miles.

GT3 prices seem to be all over the place.
Quick glance at craigslist-SF Bay area alone showed:
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/car/252087650.html - $89500, '04, 3K miles
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/251708321.html - $94988, '05, 11K miles (yeah right)..at least I think this is a GT3; the add is pretty screwed up.
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/car/253597218.html - $75K, 04, 10K miles. (posted in the related sub $70K thread). If this one is super clean it's definitely the pick of the bunch.
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/car/253597218.html - $69K, 16K miles. The poor unwanted red one discussed in the "sub $70K " thread.

So given the car is in excellent condition, CPO, "never tracked"(ha ha); not too uhh "unique" on the color combos/options; then my take is:
< 5K miles - $80K - $85K
~ 10K miles - $75K - $80K
~ 15K miles - <$75K - but don't see it getting below $70K unless it has some issues.

I think sellers are dreaming if they think they can get $90K for a low mileage example. Although there was one up in Portland with 300 miles that might have been worth $90K. Anyway, who knows, if you sit on it long enough that right buyer might just walk in the door.

For those of you in the SF Bay Area...

Dawydiak in SF has a red '04 GT3 w/16K miles for $77K - http://www.carsauto.com/detail.cfm?ID=197281

And Stevens-Creek Porche in Santa Clara has a very clean white '04 GT3 w/21K miles and PCCBs, asking $85K (the website says $91K, but on the floor they had a "red-tag special" at $85K). See http://stevens-creek.porschedealer.c...ntoryid=283889

Karl.
