GT3_002, what brand did you have installed?
Check some references, and make sure that they do NOT, do NOT cut the paint. You will be amazed at how many subpar installers caviliarly take their execto to your paint.

Unless they are Premier, if they whip out the execto, I show them the door.

I think I read somewhere that Porsche has 3 different shades of primer and the one you get depends on the paint color (closest match).

Interesting. My body guy who pretty much exclusively works on p-cars swears that all p-car bumpers have the exact same shade of primer. We were trying to weed out a non-OEM bumper and that was the first thing he mentioned.

Its essential that you find a skilled installer, no doubt. On top of that, the right product. In my case (on my white car), Premier in Fremont, CA takes road trips to So Cal, to install. This is my second car with clear bra, this time I went deluxe, full fender, bumper, hood, side view mirrors , A pillars and leading edge of the roof. Trick install, can only tell on the very top edge of the hood, as their sheet does not completley reach the top, fenders, and bumper, can't tell. Each is wrapped around too. Cost me about $2K. I have to revisit with them on the hood as the film (Venture Aerospace?) has some stretch marks, I hoped they will disappear with time (not yet). My sense of Premier is they'll make it right. Peace of mind now when driving the freeways and if some stray debris should happen to fly off of some truck. Oh, I also had them add some at the rear wheels, as I noticed that rocks or whatnot were blemishing the bumper. Probably over the top, but its now done. ALso need to be sure to wax the film regularly.

It may be different for the bumper covers. These come to the factory already painted by the supplier (one of the production efficiency tricks PAG learned from Japanese consultants). So, they could have different primer than the sheetmetal.

Nah, I've got white or off white under there. Had a rock chip above the clear bra once.

Had Armour Glove on mine. Had it installed at the franchise HQ in Greenwich CT. Will use again. Probably not a franchise in FL.
