That's massive money for that car although it is low mileage, and the LHD examples in Europe are even cheaper than the normally priced RSs. My car is worth low 60s GBP private if I'm lucky.

I've got litronics, although not bi-xenon. litronic was standard, bi-xenon an option. Bi-xenon is pretty pointless though unless you drive with full beam a lot.

Not including the cylinder heads or the donor GT3 the total for parts comes to $32436.24USD.

Option.

Mine has them (Bi-xenon).
Saves weight vs the lithronic's. Approx 5kg's.

Default controversy....oh my!

quite a few opinions on the rebadge...thank you all for your perspectives it has changed my mind. i'm a fanatic and love my GT3. I want to morph it toward an RS or Cup and am working with Jeff Gamroth of Rothsport. He builds Porsche race cars and is considered an expert. He figures it will take about $20k USD to get it to be a considerable "weapon". I am backing off of putting the RS badge on my GT3 because you are all correct, it will take a lot more to make it spot on to RS specs and the last thing I want to project is "racer-boy". I just want to improve what I already have so I really don't want to "fake" it. For me it is not about impressing anyone, it is all about the car and making it better....slowly.

Thank you all for your opinions and please know that I think I "get it".

Andrew.

Yes, a few messages prior I wrote, "Not including the cylinder heads or the donor GT3 the total for parts comes to $32436.24USD". The two cylinder heads are $1658.25USD/each but the labor charge for installation will easily cost as much if not more making their addition not really worthwhile for the minor performance improvement. It might be worthwhile if you DIY (i.e. free labor) but when you add up the cost of the required tools you're not really saving anything.

it's only free if your time has no value

The only reason I bring it up is because if you're doing a real clone, that's part of the package.

And I fully agree that it's not worth the price or effort.

Everything but the front trunk/boot/hood sticker and the cylinder heads (I posted the CH part numbers in similar thread a few months prior).
