mike i am about to pull trigger on tranny upgrades as the dealer has pulled the tranny..did you use these parts? pully? lsd? i am really lost as i just got the car and this opportunity of no labor tranny upgrades is upon me...please any more recent suggestions on what you would change or upgrade on the tranny...so far on searched, rs lwfw, rs pulley, cup pressure plates, lsd?
or maybe just track the car a year then start thinking about upgrades...hate to miss opportunity for tranny upgrade with no labor cost but don't want to waste $$ ..unfortunately no race shop near and porsche here does not do much track stuff...thanks

talk to GT transmission (sponsor here) and either get a full unit or have them rebuild the innards.
use RS lwfw and RS pressureplate. mike has RSR stuff, it's very stiff.
if you want more, get 4.0 ring and pinion
if you can't find a shop, have dealer pull the gear box, ship to brian copans (Athens, GA) and he will do the rest.

If they are opening the tranny how much u willing to spend? Rs lwf with rs pulley, cup pressure plate(sachs race engineering) with cup disc is the minimal u can do. If your lsd aint toast I would forgo changing it and besides if u add lsd later like a Guard unit - u dont need to remove tranny. You could change gear sets optimized for track or r/p- both are $$$$ but since it's a new car for u better to learn as is. Mike

thanks guys..ordered rs clutch lwfw and pp..i heard the stiffer clutches are really hard to drive 1st and 2nd gear on the street..stall outs etc,,,
talked with matt at Guard.. about a grand to make it upgraded similar to cup car lsd...
thanks mike, think if lsd is still good and dont have to pull tranny (i saw the diy) will hold off on lsd until get some track time....hate to miss a track day for the lsd
thanks

I have the 3.8 rsr pp with disc. It's definitely heavier as mooty stated. Track conditions u won't notice that much but streetcarwise- your leg can get cramped. My 6 is pretty much 99.9% track only to/fro track so no issues with pp. The thing with LSD on the street u cannot tell difference between open or if it's locking- only in the track- scary rear end waggle under hard braking and slow as a pig exiting out of corners(ability to rotate is compromised to). Neway have fun at the track and be safe. Mike
