Does anyone recommend an extended warranty for the GT3 and does anyone know how much this warranty cost and covers? Also any recommended dealers in So CAL,

I have the extended Porsche warranty on my Mk.1 2000 GT3 and it's the only one I would bother paying for. Should be in the region of USD 1500.

Agreed the the Porsche CPO warranty is the way to go BUT I have not found a dealer that can add it without taking the car in on trade, adding the warranty, then selling it back. This incures some pretty good costs. If anyone knowes of an easier way, let's hear it!

 

If the cars original warranty hasn't expired it should not be problem, however all the services must have been completed as per the service book. If you don't fullfill these criteria but you are close to the dealer, they might make an exception if you pass the 100 point checklist.

I never heard of that. I was told the Porsche AG dealership has to own the GT3. They look at the history and their own inspections and decide if they are going to offer the Porsche extended warranty.
