LV - did you ever try the 996TT? There wasn't much lag on that one either and Porsche was making it seem like the new VTG system on the 997 version irradicated any remaining lag...Originally Posted by LVDell
All I can say is go drive the thing and you will be impressed by the lack of pronounced turbo lag. Personally, I am not a Turbo guy and can't wait to get to shopping for my GT3 but I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO impressed.

Your car might call for something called a 8003 and 8004 (or is is 8006/8007, I'd have to check the guide book). Pagid has issued new numbers for the 997 pad sets, although calipers remain similar if not exact same as 996. The same favorites are still available RS19/29/4-4/14/15

Grant, actually I have NOT driven (or passenger) the 996TT so I cannot make the direct comparison. I guess that is my next stop on the Turbo Tour Originally Posted by GrantG

My point was merely to concur that the turbo lag is near nil upon accel. If it is the same as the 996 (or close) then I guess between the VTG and time limited overboost there really wasn't much improvement?
austin Andreas from pagid said the were a 8006 same as the future 997gt3 ... ordered some yesterday...
