Well, the N.A. Cup cars are coming with steel rotors, NOT Ceramics.

It looks like the pattern on the new Turbo may be Generation III.

Nizer: The after market guys make replacement rotors in the diameter one would need. AP, Wrightwood and others make a swap front. You can then put a 997 cup car iron on the back and off you go.

I'm confused now unless they are now on Gen3 (which was hinted at above). I just looked at the review of the 997 GT3 and the disks have a regular spiral pattern. The mk1s also had a regular pattern, but the mk2s had an irregular pattern and the blurb made out this was a big improvement. Odd that they've changed their minds now...

Or maybe 997 GT3 sizes are still mk1s? They are the same size as CGT disks according to the chap at Porsche.

Nice attempt from Porsche with the random hole pattern on the Gen-II PCCB, fortunately they're back to what rotors should be.

Nice attempt also on the PASM and the sunroof.

David, the Gen II's came out in 2005 with the introduction of the 997 models. The only confirmed 996 model to get it is the '05 turbo S. An owner of one of the five 2005 GT2's produced also says that he has it on his car.

My current information is that the latest generationPCCBs that are fitted to the 997 Turbo, amongst others, are still 'problematical'. This is from a 'Deep Throat' level source.

You would be suprised at how many people do not know how to drive, much less downshift and brake, they could wear out brakes made of kryptonite. Sometimes, and I suspect more times than we think, it's driver ignorance. Just because they own a Porsche doesn't mean they can drive.

Is this post sponsored by the Porsche warranty department?

I really can't comprehend the number of Porsche apologists on this forum... Anyway put your money where you mouth is and buy the ceramics guys, just don't expect sympathy when you get a 20k bill to replace them.
