What about the rear setbelt mounting points? I think you need to remove them too!

Dan, the GT3 doesn't come with rear seats even in the US spec.

No, but the mounting points are still there... Apparently they aren't on RSs, but I confess to not having checked.

Default We don't need no stinking badges............

Like they said in Blazing Saddles!

Actually, I really prefer the red decals, as it certainly spices up plain old white.

I originally had a 73 RS clone (based on an '85 Carrera) that launched the idea, "why not do a 996 GT-3 RS clone." For better or worse, and as the more one understands the differences, the "conversion" is far from some badges, red wheels and a wing.

More power to you. You are throwing enough money at it to do it properly!

SICK SICK SICK... I love your transformation. The Decals make the car! I would not change a think.

Default Adjustable Links

For what I plan to do with the car - track days and non-competitive situations, adjustable links are somewhat overkill. Adjustable drop links are worthwhile if one is making frequent set-up changes, like*in professional racing. Adjustable links only help make set-up changes quicker for the mechanics. I am not planning to do many set-up or ride height changes. Having the adjustability is for when you make a set-up change and the set-up change creates*sway bar pre-load, then one can adjust the links fast in order to take the sway bar pre-load out. Once the car is properly set-up and the sway bar pre-load is taken out, there is no point playing with the links anyway.

That car is better than an RS! (It even has a glove box). LHD RS's do not have glove boxes. Look at an interior picture of any of them posted. I love it when people chime in with NO facts. I don't have time to post the picture, but look it up for yourself.

BTW, Did y'all notice all the paint marks on the suspension bolts? That attention to detail is why Kent Moore at Premier Sportscar Service in LV gets 100% of my work.

wtf planet are you on? Who said the LHD ones had gloveboxes. I love it when people come in all guns blazing having failed at reading comprehension.

Porsche says left hand drive RS's had NO glove box under dash. Just the right hand POM's get glove box . You chaps need a place to store the queens gloves...don't ya?

Take pic please.

Vegas - because no one else mentioned the glovebox on the thread?

Cosmos - nah they ran out of the ****ty old dashboard in RHD. Like I said, the car is lighter anyway thanks to that diminished fuel tank (double edged sword that one!) I like the newer interiors anyway - better plastics!

Thusly - I'd need a microscope to see your pic
