I need the wisdom from the group!!!! This may sound weird, but i fell in love with the flip key when i had the Cayenne for a few weeks, also Audi has the flip key. Anyways, I just loved it as i love little toys. So last year when i had my new 997, I took my spare 997 key, (against all odds of Porsche saying NO NO NO, you cant do it, there's a sensor inside, BLA BLA BLA) and tried to transform my key into a flip key. I hate some one telling me "I cant do it" So i got about 5 Cayenne key heads, and started my task. It was about impossible to just get that flip key head open from the GIANT SUPER GLUE they use to close them, then i had to remove the magnet/sensor from my key and get it into the Cayenne key head close enough for the sensor to read from the ignition to give that little "Click" that it needs to allow the alarm and everything to start.... Not to mention the size difference that i had to shave/sand down the sides of the inner plastic piece... Ok long story short, does anyone know of any key maker, store/dealership that can take a normal 997 911 key and make it into a flip key????? Porsche says no every time i call them... (And i call about every 4-6 months) Any help would make me a very happy camper!!!!!! Thanks
