Default Need your opinion on wheels....

I am deciding between BBS Aluminum Motorsport wheels or Fikse Profil 13's for my black GT3. I love the BBS wheels but really do not want to wait a month to get them. Do you guys have any pictures of a black GT3 with the Fikse's? If so that would be a HUGE help and I will be very thankful because I am having a hard time visualizing them on a black car. Does anyone know where I could get some BBS aluminum wheels fast? I will be using these wheels on the street and will be using my stock wheels on the track.

If someone can post pics of a black GT3 with BBS Aluminum Motorsport wheels, Kinesis K18R's and Fikse Profil 13's I would appreciate it very very very much. I am having a tough time deciding on wheels.

dependign on what finish you get the motorsport rims in , the lead time can be as little as 2 weeks.

right now, gold/silver centers are 2 weeks

black are on backorder

fastest, contact BBS Motorsport NA directly, but be warned, their price is crazy compared to carnewal.com - which should be just as fast +a day or two more for shipping.

I contacted carnewal and was told 3-4 weeks. I still might do it but really did not want to wait that long to be able to get track tires . Tom what do you think of the Profil 13's on a black GT3?

the problem with black Fikse's is there is no polished rim...the entire wheel is black and it disappears into the tire...the polished wheels look great on any car...I'm wondering why Gert told you that long...I just ordered GT3 offsets with black centers (18" aluminum racing wheels) and they were in stock and will be here in 2-3 days...I don't think you can go wrong with either wheel

I do not want a black wheel, maybe something in race satin or just something regular. I do not want to do the black on black thing. Do you have any pictures of your polished fikses?

http://www.fikse.com/profil10.html

http://www.fikse.com/profil13.html

edit...you are right the red car has Profil 13's...good eye...the black car has the 10's and they are 19"'s too

red car has 13
seal gray car has 10.
i run fikse profil 10 and jongbloed as well.
i love bbs, however, can someone tell me where to get the serviced? i track so much that i prefer to have the wheels chk'd, rebolted, retorqued, magnafluxed every season.

also who can replace rim havles on bbs?

it took fikse 2.5 weeks to rehalve mine. if i waited i woulhd have missed 4 track days, so i orderd a set of jongbloed, (lighter and cheaper, 3 day delivery and stronger, not as COOL looking). if i can get bbs serviced locally, i will get a set.

I hear ya on the Fikses. I had to have all 4 inner barrels replaced on my Profil 10s, and it took on the order of 3 weeks! Fikse service OTOH has been terrific... just time consuming.

Mooty, I was asking the very same question about servicing the BBS Motorsport wheels. I contacted BBS AG and they referred me to BBS NA. I have been in contact with them and will PM you.

944TURBOS, sorry, no pics of what you're looking for. Panorama, however, always has some good shots of a cup car with Profil 13s. I think it's the McKenna car (white).

Fair warning about the Fikse race satin anodization... it is SHINY. Be ready for a little bling, beeyatch!

I have Kinesis on my RSA (K58 in 18") and up to now am very pleased. I've herd but good things about Kinesis. Not that I don't like BBS cause I do have them on my daily driver but I was kind of desapointed, when I learned that I had to buy another wheel since they don't fix multi-piece street wheels. They are not motorsport wheels but still, I don't consider top of the line street model LMs being something cheap.

Sorry if I feel somewhat bitter about BBS!!

I have profil 13s. I am planning to get the rims anodized in black. Why can't just the centers be done?

it may be that they can be special ordered that way or you can have them done yourself...their website just shows the black anodized Profils completely black and doesn't say you can get a different combination...also, the only black Fikse's I have seen have been completely black and that would not look good on my car IMO...they are great wheels and great looking tho
