i was told SUMMER 2006. but i dont believe anything until i see and touch it.

I really hope it's great. The only new-gen Pcars I would ever want to own are the GTs, and it will suck if the 996GT3 is the last of the no-frills, no nannies, (and somewhat attainable) enthusiast cars... what's the latest word on the engine, still M64? Or is it still pure speculation?

i was told 3.8L, similar block as 996 GT3. but again, i dont believe them until i see and touch it.
few more months to go

I was told August 2006 and the engine will be derived from the M64 block...

MJ, only a 6% increase?

now, should we get GT3 or wait for RS or does RS even exist. i would be pissed if i drive my GT3 home and a month later, RS pops up.

My dealer, in a "round about way", since they are not allowed to officially confirm, that the GT3RS is coming to NA.

Before the end of February you will see specs on the GT3 and Turbo, but NOT GT3RS, on the Porsche website.

Well here's my guess by the time the "regular" one is about to be launched, we will know whether or not the RS is coming to the states. The majority of the car buying public may not but I think we will. At this point I'm holding out and waiting for the RS.
