Default GT3 LSD grind

I've got a GT3 that is new to me and it's making a noise I'm trying to track down. When turning at lower speeds on a tighter turn, <50' radius I hear a hollow/grinding sound coming from the rear end. It does it in reverse as well as forward and is not sensitive to acceleration or deceleration. Also does it in any gear which ties it to R and P but it is not a heavy enough sound for a bad or damaged gear. Gear box is all quiet and smooth other than that. Fingertip check of gear lube is clean and not burned. My guess is that the LSD is tightly coupled in the GT3 and that's what it is. It's just the LSD slip. Any thoughts?

LOL. When I first got my car, i was convinced something was wrong with the LSD....after 500 reassurances from the board, I finally accepted the fact that that phucker is just loud.....

Worst case, take it the dealer and let them take a look at it. I read up a bit here on the GT3 LSD and found that it is brass and does last very long if driven hard.

When it gets quiet, is when the LSD is gone.

Groans and clunks from the rear of a GT3 in tight turns are perfectly normal. It is simplypart of the race car experience of the GT3. Oh, and when you hear the front springs turn in the perches, ignore that too - perfectly normal. Go to a track and enjoy your car.

I love the grind. If no grind, it goes to the shop...

The sound is normal but it will diminish following your first gear oil change.

Default Red Line in the gear box

FWIW. I had posted this thread about the LSD being pretty noisy. Per the recommendations on the board, I changed the lube with Red Line 75-140. Quieted the LSD down by about 30%. I'm changing the lube every 5K.
