Is that the batmobile from the back?
I hope they eliminate both mufflers and provide us with a one piece muffler located in the center and behind the engine. The current design disrupts the airflow to the engine heads, and increases the engine operating temperature. Things like the coolant expansion tank on top of the muffler should be re-designed.
There is a fuel line, right on top of the driver's side muffler, below the expansion tank. Excessive heat and fuel lines are not good friends.
The 996GT3 engine generates a lot more heat than the M96 engine. I've checked consistently the Carreras running 40-50 degrees cooler on the engine compartment compared to my car and another GT3 on track days.

The GT3 engine makes 25% more power so it has to run hotter everything else equal (Carnot cycle) . May be the extra power in the 997 GT3 simply comes from the center exhaust ~ about a 3% effect. Hmmm … who wants to buy my fabspeed mufflers?
NJ-GT you meant the flow OUT and not TO the heads ... correct?

Fabspeed will be all over the new GT3 with its bypass pipes. I look forward to hearing their sound clips when the 997 GT3 does come out
We are looking at a finalized product now guys. I can't wait to see one in the showroom
