What are street stock plugs???

Would it make a difference using the RS plugs over the street plugs?

The street stockers are Bosch plugs also, Y5DDC's. (999.170.129.90)
Production car plugs are usually selected based on the ignition system and type of fuel being used. I have no data on the results of running any other plug than the stockers on the street US street GT3's. Interesting experiment though...

No, not true the street GT3 uses a 14..... plug, the RS uses the Y5 plug.

Good catch, although both are M96.79's, the 14FR6LDU's are for all Mk1 and the US spec Mk2's.
Running the colder RS plug should help if you're on 100 octane though. Higher combustion temps want a cooler plug. As for electrodes and spark intensity, most info on that is debatable. It's best to run what the manufacture has set for the parameters of usage until you change the parameters of usage from their original intention.

Austin, do you have any info on the vacuum pipe changes that are shown in the cup manual, or rather do you have any experience of playing around with different lengths ?

There does not seem to be a big difference between the two as far as heat range goes.

Anyone know what the ROW mk II GT3 uses for spark plugs??

Cos, according to the Aug 04 catalog, ROW mkII's use the same 14's also.

Well, is there any advantage at all to running the RS plug? My stock plugs look ok, they have 19k miles on them and are a nice ash color. I am changing them out this week and am not sure. I usualy run 100 octane if that helps.

Cos, run the stock. The Cup will likely cause radio interference.

Although, I just checked and the FR5DTC also is recommended for the street 964 so I guess it should be fine for Your GT3 also...

I want to run the RS plugs, not the Cup car ones.
