Do the RS and cup cars have different spark plugs then street car?
Do he cup cars and RS cars have different plugs then the street plugs. Can we use those??

The street stockers are Bosch plugs also, Y5DDC's. (999.170.129.90)
Production car plugs are usually selected based on the ignition system and type of fuel being used. I have no data on the results of running any other plug than the stockers on the street US street GT3's. Interesting experiment though...

Good catch, although both are M96.79's, the 14FR6LDU's are for all Mk1 and the US spec Mk2's.
Running the colder RS plug should help if you're on 100 octane though. Higher combustion temps want a cooler plug. As for electrodes and spark intensity, most info on that is debatable. It's best to run what the manufacture has set for the parameters of usage until you change the parameters of usage from their original intention.

Well, is there any advantage at all to running the RS plug? My stock plugs look ok, they have 19k miles on them and are a nice ash color. I am changing them out this week and am not sure. I usualy run 100 octane if that helps.
