looks like due to factory tape losing its stick from the daily grind with my driveway. What are the favorite fixes? I read one thread of people using silicone, the plastic push rivets (factory) and zip ties.
If I drill holes and route ties, will I still need to replace the failing factory tape to get a good seal?

OMG, you are so ghey.
Dude, go get soem automotive silicon in a little tube. Take off the whole lip spolier. Get some 3M doube sided tape, get whatever looks like the stock tape. You dont really need to zip tie. Go get some rivets and a small drill and just double the platstic rivets with metal ones.
Lay down the spoiler and apply the new double sided tape. Install spoiler. Insert plastic and new metal rivets. Take the silicon and apply it to the were the spoiler meets the bumper. Pull down a along the edge and squeeze in the silicon as well. Smooth it out with your finger and you should be good to go for years.
This is a fix for getting in and out of driveways, you will take the spoiler off if you hit up up against something like a curb.
ps. Please send check frist, with TWO forms of ID.

Cos, great info! Frayed, touché! LOL
I caught some road debris one night on the interstate what looked like a truck tread and popped it loose about a 1/2". So its only a matter of time until it needs to be reattached. Need to go out and buy the tube of Goop!

Frayed = I used long zip ties. Much easier and they work fine. I like the fact that if you hit something hard the zip ties will break and not damage anything expensive. There are holes in the panel behind the lip which allow you to pass a long zip tie through.
