I found some gutter guard in plastiv at Home Depot that looked much better than the aluminum ones. The pattern looked more like what the BMW M3 grills uses, only I don't think it is as rigid. That should not be a problem for the small openings in the Porsche grills. The nice thing about the plastic is that it won't look as faded as the aluminium/painted ones after a while.
Its easier to fit as well, with fewer sharp edges and it is more pliable.

Might be worth a try.

cheers,
-anders

If it makes you feel any better, I got the smoked third brake light after seeing yours. I was on the fence before that.

OK, I guess I can put away the Kleenex now...heh.

I will find a way to incorporate the plastic trim piece AND some meshing....just may take a while to get to it....maybe I will have to market them too if all goes well...who knows. Hell, for paying $$$$ for these and seeing how they look, I bet I can buy that plastic piece, mount some quality screen on it, and make it look WAY better than what i bought for WAY les money...although I would have to charge the same...hehe. Time will tell.

OK, so I went to Home Depot and found some gutter screen that was basically identical to the Cup screens....really similar in look and gauge. I installed them onto the plastic trim piece and it looks much better IMHO. I will get some pics soon....Tim

PS Anybody want to buy a set of BARELY used Cup screens? I dont need them now....

Here is a pic of my work...Looks WAY better to me...and only about $3 for the screen, $11 for the "putty", and a $2 can of paint. Alot better than $650 for the Cup screens and looks better too, IMHO.
