Default Good Alignment setup?

Hey
I found an old posting by Macfly, is this a good setup to use with MPSC? I have no clue...

Front axle:
Camber: -2.5º (max camber difference, left/right: 5')
Toe total: +5' (toe difference at 20° lock: -1°20' +/- 30')
Caster: 8° +/- 30' (max caster difference, left/right: 30')
Front height: 115mm
Swaybar – 1 from hard

Rear axle:
Toe total: 35’ +/- 2' (max toe difference, left/right: 5')
Camber: -2.3° +/- 5' (max camber difference, left/right: 10')
Rear height: 128mm
Swaybar – 1 from hard

Roland Kussmaul alignment settings. FWIW not MPSC. That is what I am using including corner balancing with MPS2's and I like it a lot. Good tire even tire wear with my combination of street and track miles.

This is the setup that someone did on my car today, seems okay. Anyone have any expert comments... would appreciate it.

Cross Camber -0.22
Caster left 7.7º right 7.33
Cross Caster 0.37º

Toe left 0.05º right 0.07º
Total Toe 0.12º
Set Back: 0.62º

Rear
Camber: left -2.02º right -1.78º
Toe left 0.21º right 0.20º
Total Toe 0.41º
Thrust Angle :0.01

Why such a difference in camber left to right? I'd go for front toe out -0.08...

I found lowering the front ~8mm helps.

Dude, you have a race spec 964 but cant figure out a good track alighnment? I am begining to think that maybe the GT3 is not a car for you.

How many track events have you been to? Not Auto Cross, but Track time?

I have 40+ days of track time, but I didnt say that I was a mechanic, suspension or racing driver type guy did I.... what's the point of your nasty posting? I drive for fun and have the basic understanding of setups and what they mean, everyone has to start somewhere.... postings like this just dont make this fun. Feel free to review and edit your posting, think about how you would want someone answer your questions.

My current settings:

F: -3.5 Camber 0.10 Toe in per side
R: -2.0 Camber 0.25 Toe in per side. (-2.5 after pyrometer readings indicated too much negative camber at the rear)

You can use more toe in at the rear but 0.20 is good enough. Next time go for 0.25.

Never settle for more than 0.01 for trust angle. It's critical to get it to zero on a GT3 (rear weight/rear traction/LSD car). When this parameter is off, the car goes everywhere.

Low toe in settings (like your 0.05), 0 toe or toe out at the front, creates a twitchy feeling on the steering wheel under heavy braking that I don't like.

The low caster readings and the camber readings might indicate that your camber plates are rotated. A stock GT3 won't get more than 1.5-1.7 degrees camber at the front, and the caster will be over 8 degrees (assuming stock ride height as your car).

It was not an attack on you. It was a legit question. I will not edit my post becuase you have a machine that you dont understand.

I just wanted to know how someone who has 40+ track days under his belt does not understand how or why you have more camber on one side and specs that are clearly out of wack, why you have them. It is clear you dont have a basic understanding. Again, it is not an attack on you. Its just that many people dont start with a GT3.

Maybe its me, but I like to know why I am doing something not only before I do it, but after it is done, and what effects it has on me. I just dont do something becuase someone tells me to do it.

If thats wrong, then call me nasty.
