The P21S sinks into anodized wheels... even when they're cool. This results in that nasty cloudy look that does not polish out. If you worked and polished hard enough, you may get some of it out, but you will also remove the anodized coating.

You can, however, polish out cloudy spots on parts that are not anodized... such as the polished lips of the rims you describe in your post.

I sent the rims back to Fikse, they completely stripped them, and then re-anodized them.

Yee Haw.
did they charge you?

Let's clarify here... I never clean my wheels when they're warm/hot. The P21S sinks into anodized finishes!

Yes, they charged me, but to their credit it was an at-cost deal. This included all new seals and hardware.

P21S "Safe for all finishes" wheel cleaner. Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

P21S Total Auto Wash (orange citrus based cleaner) has done a good job for me so far. Appears to be safe on stock OEM and BBS wheels.

I didn't have any issues either for about a year, and then the little "spots" started to show up. I didn't think too much of it until the spots kept coming, and I couldn't get rid of them.

Heck, the cleaner even damaged my center caps. The caps are stock Fikse caps with inlaid crests.

P21s has worked great on my stock wheels for years but I would steer clear of if for anodized wheels.

if you guys are lucky to use P21S on an anodized finish I'd still discontinue it! use plain old car wash soap and scrub with a soft bristle brush like said before. P21S damaged an old set of cookie cutter wheels I had for a 944 before and I had to strip and refinish the whole thing!

I use Simple Green, as well.
