Found my new track wheels and roughly 15 fwhp.

This is what I get for sending that pic to my Elise friends. LOL.

Nope the original photo has not been touched up to my knowledge.

The event I ran does not require numbers. They also allow open passing (no signals) on anything resembling a straight. Very relaxed but well run event.

Given that you are in Tx and you refer to turns 13,14,15, I'm assuming this is TWS. Which club allows you to run with no numbers? What tires were you running and with what lap times?

Thanks,

Curt

It was an open lapping day run by Jack, the general manager of the track. All of his weekday events and the regular weekend Texas Motorsport Club events run with open passing (weekdays typically anywhere on the track except for a *really* obvious turn and weekends he's a bit more restrictive about enforcing passing on only 4 of the straights) and no numbers. It's really my kind of event. . .

It's my second day in the GT3 at TWS, after a decent amount of experience over the past couple of years in my E36 M3. I could turn 2.03s regularly in my E36 on Kumhos, and have dipped into the 2.02s and a 2.01. I think I'm still slightly off that pace in the GT3 as I learn the car, but have not been avidly timing. . . I know I'll get too fixated on the numbers, and it's too early for me to do that since I'm just trying to 'become one' with the GT3. My feeling is that 2 minute laps should be quite accessible, with progression from there more slowly for me.

I was running full tread, non heat cycled Corsas. They are not as sticky as run in Toyos or Kumho V700s that I've run in the past, but they are pretty decent. Lots of outside edge wear with only 1.5 degrees of camber up front. I'll remedy that shortly.

I've never been to a TMC sponsored event. Sounds like fun.

I've been running with the Driver's Edge folks most recently. I was out a couple of weeks ago. It was my third weekend with the GT-3 - second with the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. Driver's Edge allows passing anywhere (with a signal) for the White group and passing on any straight for the Red group. Passing anywhere Rules for the White group.

Two other GT-3's were there. Drove a session with one of the cars. Half the session I followed her and half the other way. Best lap was 1:56. Her car had Ruf intake and exhaust, she was told it was good for 15 hp. Mine is stock. Both cars running Michelin Pilot Sport Cups.

My next step in the car is to get it to rotate a bit more. I had my '01 Turbo set up to allow trail braking and rotating in Turn 6 and 13. Right now the GT-3 won't pivot a bit. Will try softening the front sway bar next time out.

My ceramics have me worried. I plan to convert to steel before the next event.

Cool. Would be happy to break 2's. I think I can in short order. No doubt though, 1.56 is hauling ***.

Hey Curt, I think I seen her GT3 with Ruf's mods . Is it seal grey? She was at MSR last time I was there and she was really fast...
