You are right, the Manthey are exactly twice the price.
I have the same (BBS Magnesium Race) rims with stock width both front and back, and I use the same bolts, longer is not needed as far as I am concerned.
BTW, my centers are painted red to match the RS colours, looks awesome. However had serious problems with the correct pressure on my MPSC, they build some much heat.

Mystery solved: The stronger centers suggested by Bob and which are the ones needed to clear the GT3 brakes up front, require the longer bolts. The thinner centers don't need long bolts, but do need spacers up front on GT3 applications.

One follow-up question: For those running 9" front wheels, what offset did you have to run to clear everything?

I think I'll have to medicate myself with Tequila tonight to get over the cost on top of having just bought this car 4 weeks ago. . . but, WTF we only go around once.

my recommendations -- el tesoro paradiso, chinaco anejo, porfidio barrique (if you can find it) or cuervo reserva de la familia (not to be confused with the 1800 paint remover).

btw, killer wheels. they're on my shopping list.

Update: BBS is out of the forged Mag centers for my fitment in silver. Choice was either go gold, or for the more expensive, slightly lighter forged aluminum centers.

Definitely a toss up, but went with the forged Al. I'll need a double shot of anejo tonight.

You're better off with the new Aluminum centers-- Just as light, less maintenance than magnesium, only $70/whl. more. Given the wheels you're rolling on, better bag the rot-gut and switch to brandy-- you're in the high-rent district now...

Re camber (was that your Q?)-- -2.5 neg.

Brandy? Heck, Cognac is more like it. Frayed, stay off the curbs with those wheels!

Bob:

Yeah, I take your point. However, you and Frayed should try a sip or two of my California distiller buddy's Germain-Robin grande fine alambic brandy (can't call it Cognac, or the WTO will confiscate your vital organs). His Napoleon is world-class, and priced accordingly. But hey, Frayed can afford it-- he's Mr. Luxo-Wheel...

Is there a 5-lug version of this BBS wheel? The AJR cars at Mid-Ohio were running these a few weeks ago. My buddy who was working with the Zytek team took these pictures. Can't believe how much they are milled around the spokes. Must weigh nothing! This would be the hot BBS setup if you can get them. Certainly put my Mg's to shame

Wow, that's a beautiful wheel! Haven't seen a 5-bolt version, tho. BBS Motorsport does have the 1-pc. monobloc wheel (which looks like the Manthey Racing wheel) and it is really, really light and really, really expensive.

Mike, dayumn, those are some hot wheels.

Lee, schit, I'm back to Pabst Blue Ribbon after today's excersise. The hell with the 529 accounts for the little ones. College is over-rated.

Bob, will do! Unfortunately, I have a rep for doing excessive agricultural excursions in these parts. Gonna have to keep myself in check.

Lee - can I resereve judgement until after I taste the sample bottle I know you're going to send me

Jeff- perhaps you want to order the cast iron spoiler lip? Very useful in Canadian winters too.

are the ones with the forged alum centers stronger than the magnesium ones? strong enough to use on the street?

I don't know about stronger. Both centers are superb quality, and both can be cracked under race conditions. You can use BBS motorsport wheels on the street if you specify the heaviest rim gauge, but it's still a stretch. Hit a pothole, and you may have a bent rim... Fikses are a better street-track wheel, IMO, and these are a superior track-only wheel. I'm sure there are other opinions out there...
