Default GT3 front splitter

Need front splitter from Porsche Motorsport for my MKII GT3.
Is there one that is best?
Do they all use double sided tape to mount, or is it also screwed on?
I need to get one for Thursday. Where is the best place to find one?

Thanks,

R

TRG(The Racer's Group). I think I paid 135 for it. At least with mine didn't come with double sided tape which you probably get from a hardware store. Never worked with DEVEK but they have it too. Mike

There are 15 expandible plastic clips that are available from the dealer for mounting front splitter. I heard they work fine.

MM you have mail.

I got my from DEVEK, Ask for Austiin. You need to get the 3 M double sided tape and the 3M adhesive which is a chemical to apply to the double sided tape before you attach the expandible clips. The tack of the double sided tape alone will not adhere to the nose, that is why I used this 3M adhesive.

Richard,

I got mine from Porsche Motorsport in CA., but it will take more than 2 days to get it (since you need to prepay). If you want more info, e-mail me, or do a search for "motorsport spoiler" in the GT3 forum search. If you need a new OEM spoiler, I have an extra one in my garage.

I have a splitter but no mounting clips. $ 117.00 + shipping to buyer.

Got mine from DEVEK, and had Bob install it with reinforcing bar. The attachment was so strong that when I had my OTE at Laguna Seca, the splitter stayed attached to the piece of the bumper that got ripped off. Also, the Cup splitter sits lower than the stock unit and will scrape and catch on any little bump. Prior to installing with the reinforcing bar, my Cup splitter got pulled off twice. IMO, the expandable clips are inadequate.

I think that I like the looser attachment. I tore mine off twice at VIR, and both times I got it back in one piece. A little tape, a few more clips and I was back in business. Sure beats a torn bumper cover.
