I've been holding out a bit. I also had the exhaust tips plated with chrome oxide (black), that added the final touch. Very agressive, no bling here. Almost no one notices the individual changes but they look and look, scratch their heads and can't put their fingers on what the difference is. They just know it's different. It's all in the details.

Color is a matter of choice, the difference between the two isn't that dramatic. I personally would go with the smoke with the Seal Grey but as I said it is a choice of personal preference. And yes the led's are red when illuminated clear when off.
In regards to brightness I think the leds are brighter and quicker to illuminate than the incandesant. And will virtually last forever.
