Default Why do you think this is so?

Porsche ships the GT2 with a lower suspension than the GT3. There appears to about a 10-12mm difference (space between top of wheel and body) at both the front and rear.

Maybe the same guy who's supposed to tighten the swaybars sets the suspension height and does the alignments on the GT3's...

They have different suspensions.

Well, I think I answered my own question. They sit within 1/8 of an inch of each other to the top of the rear fender (25"), but there is a much bigger space in the GT 3 from top of fender to top of tire. Since the wheels are the same diameter, it must be the difference in the profile of the tires.

Now since the wheels are the exact same at the front..well that's tomorrow's task (and maybe the next question)!
