Default New kid from across the pond.. says hi..!!

Have just been pointed in your direction from one of our members in the UK on Stuttgart 9s..http://www.stuttgart9.co.uk/upload/.. I have recently purchased an 04 GT3 in Basalt Black with Black clubsport bucket seats, and as you can imagine, have a constant grin on my face, every time I go for a drive..
Prices have recently become more reasonable for these cars, when I looked a year ago, a nearly new GT3 was £75,000.( US $ 136,500).. I have just paid £62,000..( US $112,000) for an immaculate car with 5,000 miles.
Anyway, good to speak to you guys, and I will keep an eye on your views re the GT3/GT2 scene and the new 997 GT3.!

Cheers
Rob Payne

Congrats! I am a newbie too, I bought mine about a month ago. This is by far the best Porsche forum imo.

Welcome to both you.

Rob, I'm also a member of Stuttgart 9 so hope to catch you there as well.

Since mine is a garage queen, here's one photo from last month worth showing. Since then, I have only driven it once

After 1st week of ownership, took car to Brands Hatch Indy circuit in Kent..
I know the circuit well, Nigel Mansell won his 1st F1 GP here back in the 80s.

Pic.. wipers on, greasy, wet track.. trying to stay of the kerbs.. about 3 laps after this I spun coming out of Clearways, 3rd gear bumpy, off camber, bend leading on to start finish straight. I did complete 360 spin onto grass and finished 3 feet from tyre wall, in my 1 week old 110,000 dollar, financed car...

I will I will! But first I have to finish breaking it in... I still got 600+ miles to go before I hit 1,000 miles so it'll be awhile
