Yeah know the feeling, I've done loads of UK tracks over the years, mostly on bikes.!
Car wise on track, has been with a TVR Cerbera 4.5..(1100kg+ 420bhp), M3 CSL and a highly tuned Evo 8 MR(engine, suspension, brakes).. but the GT3 is a steep learning curve, especially compared to the relatively easy to drive CSL and Evo.!
I take it being in San Fran, you are relatively close to Laguna Seca.. that is one awesome track, especially the corkscrew, I would love to drive it.

Laguna is great. I was there last in January with the GT3 and need to go back, but they measure sound and my muffler bypass pipes are not welcome...
