Default 500 HP GT3

Well, not quite but it feels that way. My car is ready for track season and I am psyched. Over the winter I collected a few new bits and the way they are working in concert has taken the car to another level.

Neil Orton claims 420 HP for the PSI combination of exhaust, air filter and ECU remapping. I was skeptical but I went ahead and had them shipped over. I also had a race shop machine a lighter clutch/flywheel assembly.

Everything got put back together this week and HOLY MOLY! I am not affiliated with PSI, etc. blah blah blah. I just had to let anyone considering some serious mods know that the PSI stuff is that good.

I'm putting the car on a dyno next week and I'll post the numbers. 355 RWHP is where GT3's have all been coming in on this dyno so we'll see where this stuff has taken it. I was going to wait to have the numbers before posting, but the only way I could get the stupid grin off my face was to get out of the car and say thanks to Neil Orton, the guys at PSI and Mike at Fred Baker Porsche.

Track day tomorrow!

From 380 bhp to 420 bhp with ECU tunning (i.e, both fuel and ignition) sounds very possible. Does the setup Neil is running include new fuel injectors?

If you can truely tune the power curve for each track, it would woth the effort and $$$.

Not to be a wet towel, but a ltw fly can make a dramatic difference in the way a car feels on the road. Will be good to see the dynos.

Jim,

Glad to see the PSI is working out....hope to see some nice dyno numbers...should be in the 370-380 range at the wheels.

Could you find out what size and type of wheels and tires Freddy Baker is running on his T1 GT3? He is doing very well against those Z06's.

Fred is running Hoosier slicks on Speedline wheels in the stock size.
Sorry, Fred is running Forgeline, not Speedline.

More feedback on this system!!!! How does the car sound now? Any comparisons you can give for the 420 kit compared to stock, or maybe a Fabtech exhaust? This kit sounds pretty awesome....I am tempted, and I have had the car barely a week! LOL.

EDIT: Anybody have any video or sound clips?

EDIT 2: Thanks for the e-mail reply Neil

Cool, maybe we can get some video of it? That would be a plus.

On the other hand Neil, I would be happy to install the system on my car and take lots of video for you to post on your site in return! :-)

Some cry with opera; I think I wet my shorts with the PSI GT3 sountrack. Sorry, I'm just very emotional. Smooth idle with some added gargle yet still quiet. What comes next is quite unexpected, climbs revs smoothly with melody somewhere between Supercup & Stradale. Wear your diapers, just in case. BTW, there's testimonials on that tt fly-by. I was tracking on my stock car with a 360CS a couple of weeks ago and we would accelerate identically on the straightaway (up to 150 mph- no drafting). I wonder what's next? Will install kit tomorrow. Keep you posted.
