Did you have to roll the front and rear fender's?

Thanks,
Rick

Proven tire on the SpeedGT races, on rainy days, cold days, etc.

They last longer than MPSC. I don't have to quit a track session because of heavy rain anymore. Good grip when cold. Not bad for autocross either. In my opinion the perfect street/track/autocross tire.

I'm running the stock ride height rear, and -17mm from stock front. I didn't roll the fenders. Car is running -1.3 degrees camber at the rear on those pictures.

Cool pictures... how did the rear camber work out or better yet how was the ballance?

Do you think that the times you run with the Toyos could be close to the smaller size V710?

By looking at those pictures turn in is good

The smaller size V710 combo (245/285) is at least 1 second faster that this RA-1 combo on a 60 seconds race track. The V710 grip is unreal.

In fact, the MPSC has better grip when hot than these Toyos.

The car needs more negative camber at the rear: Something like -2.0. I'm running -3.0 front with the Manthey Racing camber plates.

I'd agree, you need a little more rear camber. BTW why did you install the Manthey camber plates? I just flipped my upper strut mounts and got -3.3 easily, with no shims needed.

We have to meet up sometime. Too bad you couldn't make the dyno day. I have to see your car with those Toyos on it. Maybe I can make one of your autocrosses this summer.

If you are running the RA1's at full tread you still have a lot of speed left in them once they wear down a bit. Once they do wear down they are not rain tires, they are just as slick as other R compounds. The Speed Challenge guys run them shaved.

Are you running PCCBs now? I got a set of MPSCs (315,265) and the HRE Competitions sitting in the garage. I just can't believe thet will fit. The tires are so much wider compared the stock .. they are more like 335s.

Here is a shot of the rears. The rim is 11.5" wide and weighs right around 20lbs. It looks just like the BBS mags, except you can use it on the street. The MPSC is a little offset from the stock wheels, but you get an idea how crazy wide they are. At this point I am counting on NJ-GT's experience with these tires and keeping my finger crossed. They will test fitted tomorrow.

quarter mile -

you will not be able to run the 315s on 11.5s without rolling your fenders or enjoying rubbing. they will rub unless you run the highest rear suspension setting and you are using 11" rims. running the highest suspension setting in the rear partially negates the benefit of increased rubber in the rear, ie, takes away from planting the rear and getting more absolute grip. adding 1/2" of rim width will exacerbate the problem. this is one reason cup cars only run 11" rims in rear

i just installed 315 mspcs in the rear with 11" fiskes and rolled the fenders for proper clearance to give full adjustability in suspension (height, camber and toe)

NJ, for the V710s to work in the 245/285 stagger, did you change your car setup?

Z06, I seem to recall the guys at HRE saying it was painted. The quality on this is far better than the Porsche wheels if that means anything.

Healyg, I took my car to HRE for a custom fit, they are right here in San Diego. One of their engineers took measurements and was pondering a 12" with 335's. Eventually we settled on the 11.5" rear with 9" front, offset inward by 1/4". So obviously I don't play with cup car rules so if this works it may be a GT3 first
