The oil leaking from mine was almost imperceptible. I looked at it when it was up on the lift with the service writer. I asked him to point it out and he had a tough time finding the evidence of the "leak". There was just a very slight amount of dirt/oil in the crack where the motor meets the tranny.

Mine had the leak from new, just a very few drops in months from the same location. Build
date was 5/04. Why the heck can't Porsche straighten a problem like this out in almost
1 year?

I had the same problem 3 days after I took delivery of my car. Turns out it was not the Main Seal it was a seal in one of the return houses of the dry sup system.. Have them check that . ( Hose goes right laong the sway bar.

Glad to join the leak club fella's. I truly feel indoctrinated with Porsche finally. Good info here. Tomorrow I will get underneath and try to pin pt. the leak . I uderstand that the crank pulley seal can also be a culprit when leaking in this area...dead center on the sway bar......
