Default Advice with new GT3 clutch

My car has the lightweight flywheel installed. My clutch is due for replacement.

From the flywheel installation Parts list last year, I have:

1 964-102-239-31 GT3RS flywheel
1 964-114-143-31 starter Ring gear
9 928-102-151-01 Socket SC
1 996-116-015-32 AS Clutch
9 N-014-715-3 Socket Screw
1 931-102-111-00 Ball Bear
1 950-116-813-30 Clutch Guide tube
1 944-116-080-01 Release B O

I want to install the stronger 3.8 RSR pressure plate (# 964-116-028-53, thanks Robin).

Is there any stronger Porsche clutch disc for this car?

I'm really dissapointed with the stock clutch disc, it overheats so easy.

How about the cup car parts....they should be what your looking for.

How is the RSR pressure plate different?

Could the clutch over heating be due to fluid boiling?

NJ-GT,

In the next garage tech and detailing session, we need to bleed that clutch and make sure it's pure ATE Blue in there. That's a good thought by Z06.

That makes sense.

The 3.8RSR pressure plate is stronger than the stock pressure plate. There is one car in this board with that setup already.

NJ-GT:

Double check the part # for the stock pressure plate.
