GT3 vs 993RS on track ... my impressions
#16
Awesome, thanks! I went for a ride in a 996 with a JRZ suspension and Dunlop slicks at VIR last weekend and was in awe of it's stick. I have never driven one, but obviously the capabilities are much higher than the 64s and the 93s. I love my old 964 though and the fact that you have to be smooth and thoughtful to make it around the track quickly.

Jim Newman,
Wow, that's like having the Coors Triplets in one night well maybe spread over a long weekend. Ahem.
It reminds us what's unique to each iteration and the joys of each. What a lucky guy....thanks for sharing.

Opps! I think I mean't to say 964 RSA...

Wow Jim!. that is a great synopsis. I had contacted you in DEC re your 964. Thanks for the Pics etc. I ended up with a GT3 that I aquired just last week. When I learn to drive it properly then maybe I would go to a cup car situation. Thanks Again

I'm guessing there isn't any 3040 lbs GT3 (that owner hasn't stripped), at least in US.
And I think Porsche probably weights their cars with helium in the wheels.
