Will the Porsche battery maintainer work on other cars? I have one each on my GT3 and Boxster S. I have an extra one that I want to plug into my Elise but I'm a little concerned. Anyone use it on any other car besides a Porsche

 

An Elise?? 190 HP?

IMO, if the Brits have evolved to a negative ground and a 12 volt system and you have a cigar lighter, it should work.

Yes, I have used my second one on an F-car. As long as the receptacle is live (not cut-off by ignition switch) and the maintainer plugs fits it, it should work.

 

It definitely works on the Elise -- I've used one on my Lotus.

I got one of these for under $40. It has better features that all the ones I compared about one month ago. The Porsche OEM is a trickle charger with not that many features.
