Default Brembo floating hardware info

Here are some pics of the Brembo floating disc and hat assemblies, front and rear. Retail $775 per corner, replacement discs $330 per corner. Weight saving is about 5 pounds per corner. The fronts are bolt on replacements, the rears require removal of the parking brake mechanism as well as grinding away part of the parking brake pad support on the rear uprights.

Brembo says front 350x34, rear 330x28. I didn't double check.

Same size as your GT3 steel rotors -- 350mm front and 330mm rear. I'm aware of a set (front and rear) available for $3025.

In USA, available from Brembo distributors listed here. Check with your local distributors. Part numbers are

XA4.F2.11 Left front
XA4.F2.12 Right front
XA4.F2.21 Left rear
XA4.F2.22 Right rear

I bought mine from HRPWorld. They are mislabeled as GT3R parts in their ad. The GT3RS/RSR uses larger discs than these. Excellent service from them.

Also available from Wheel Enhancement.

Will the replacement rotors fit the hats on cars fitted with PCCB??
If they do it could save a few dollors.

Just a thought.

Henry.

I confirmed with WheelEnhancement that the front ones fit PCCB and steel brakes GT3 and GT2.

10 lbs weight reduction on a stronger disc.

What I want is a replacement rear hat + disc for the PCCB calipers that
keeps the emergency brake setup.

At this point I would happily pay 2K for the rear axle for this.

Here are some pictures of the rear installation. The first shows the blue parking brake pads pressed against a metal plate which is supported by the upright support tab. The second pictures shows all of the parking brake parts removed. Removal is easy, all the parts press off easily by hand. These parts weight about 1.5lbs per corner. The third picture shows the support tab and the end of the parking brake cable, which stays installed. The fourth picture shows the support tab ground down. On my car I needed to remove about 11mm of material, more than double the 4-5mm called for by Brembo. The offset between the surface of the support tab and the front surface of the wheel hub needs to be at least 48mm. I also ground the outer radius of the support tab slightly to better clear the floating attachment hardware. I don't think enough of the support tab remains to reinstall the parking brake, maybe, but it would be marginal. The last picture shows the mounted disc and caliper. Total weight savings including parking brake removal is about 6lbs per corner.

Ahh, so it is a permanent removal of the e-brake, there's no way that's going back on unless you buy a new wheel carrier/hub assembly.

Yes, there is a little lip on the tab remaining but its pretty small, I don't think there is enough left to trust it. So a new upright and a press to get the wheel bearing reinstalled.
