Try Intercity. They are pricey, (about a buck a mile), but very, very well worth it.

Also try Passport. They are somehow connected with FedEx, and do a great job as well.

It would be such an awesome drive too, can't you persuade the Mrs to let you do it, even better come with you? I did it when I moved from NYC 8 years ago, and it was one of the great drives of my life.

Are you bringing the 914 with you too?

Look forward to seeing you out here in '05.....Happy Holidays!

I live in the LA/Ventura area now, I was doing a show in Branson Missori when I saw the GT3 while shopping for a 997, but I left the car in MO and my 914 is in Upland, CA getting ready for the next POC event.
Thanks for the Holiday Cheer

This guy is extremely dependable and moves only one car at a time by enclosed carrier.

I too would love to do a drive like that. I've had many enjoyable long-distance drives. But frankly, I would be scared to try. It would be so frustrating to trundle along in a car like the GT3 at 80 or 90 MPH and I know what would happen to me if I got caught doing the drive the way it was meant to be done -- i.e. at 150 MPH.

So if I ever had to move a nice car any significant distance in North America I would approach it with great trepidation and certainly not with anticipation. Sad isn't it?
