Gtgears@yahoo.com not the above listed email. That was retired years ago.

If you google guard transmission it brings our site up. Www.guardtransmissionllc.com

Matt, do you publish a spec on recommended servicing and service intervals for your re-built OEM LSDs ?

Did not see anything on your Site and did not receive any such from my installer. I have seen your recs in posts on RL generally but I am wondering if you have a standard doc which sets same out.

TIA & Best.

Interesting, someone bumps this thread and then removes their own post.

Cello,
The reason there is no document is because there isn't any set interval. User results will widely vary. Grand Am teams usually need to rebuild once a year. Club racers who run a full schedule usually get 2-3 years out of them. DE guys it all comes down to how many days a year do they run. I get guys who belong to Monticello and get 40-50 days a year and need to service them annually. I get other guys who do 5 events a year and drive 3-4000 street miles a year who can go a decade between services. But what about the guy who does 10 events and 1000 street miles? Or 3 track events and 10,000 street miles?

Far too varied to try to nail it down with a number.

Understood, Matt. Always had an OEM LSD - read: one in various states of failure.. - previously, should be able to tell when a good one eventually needs attention. This helps too: https://rennlist.com/forums/10544967-post9.html

While I am asking Qs , any recs on maintenance (gear oil changes, etc)?? - I've seen your thoughts on trans oil changes in other posts - treat the LSD the same?

Thanks for any advices..
