Motons? Wow!
Do you feel they have an advantage over the GC setup worth the money?

That's me : ) Fongster. I did both days. What an experience first session on Saturday-wet track and spun after the making thru turn down the hill on the cyclone. I remember seeing your liteweight M3. My wife was up at the building tower and saying you were running quite qucikly : ). That day there were about some really great drivers- Mazda Rx 7 turbo/BMW Litewieght/Acura NSX(red)/and that White ford prototype/Porsche Devek 928/Honda s2000(white)/Yellow NSX. What laptimes were you getting. By sunday my best time was 2:06 but average about 2:08. I'm still learning the car and need to work on the braking points and way too much early apexing. My car is in need of total detail-talk about mud everywhere : (. Sunday was nice and dry but spun 1st session at just finishing turn 2 and second session spun at turn 9. One of the things I noticed as Holger spun last time we were up at Thunderhill- car will not start up for like 2 minutes so I was just waiting there til it fired up-why is that? Regards. Mike

Also on Sunday there was another GT3 there with no plates yet which just ticked over 1000 miles purchased from same dealer as I (Stead). The car is so clean : ). He is a better driver then I-much better apexing/braking. I'm running Dunlop Race with RS 19 pads and his is stock and we're pretty much even : (. Regards. Mike (his car is silver/black)

Mike,

Nice to meet you up at T-Hill. I was the guy with the silver gt3. That was one of the best track days I've done - beautiful weather and almost nobody on the track! I think I had something like 45 laps before lunch. Can't wait for the next one.

Yep Caleb-you had a great view of me spinning on turn 9 : ). We gotta all meet up. Holger says NCRC has one dec 11/12-but rain is a killer for me plus wifey would be pissed. FUBAR is what I would look like if I tell her I signed up : (. We'll seee-maybe 1 day-I'll look half recognizable : ). You were definitely better apexing/braking then I was : (. Regards. Mike

I'm not sure about that Mike, you were moving right along and it seemed like the gap between us was getting bigger, not smaller! In any event, we should definitely coordinate another session in the near future. Cheers.

Hi Mike,

Yellow NSX driver here, and fellow GT3 (arctic silver) owner.

I should have stopped by to say hi as well, but got caught up in trying to get as much tracktime as possible

The Ford prototype that you are referring to is probably the Panoz driven by Eric and he was in the 2:01's (Saturday) from what I recall, the Red NSX is a Comptech prepped supercharged NSX running slicks and Kip gets into the sub 2:00's (Saturday). The Turbocharged RX-7 is young hotshoe from SoCal called Brian it was his first time at Thill so I think that he was getting used to the track, he is usually pretty fast and would not be surprised if he got into the low 2:0X's given more familiarity with the track.

FYI, the bypass is usually about 2 seconds quicker than with the cyclone at turn 5, so that will give you a good reference point to compare laptimes between Saturday and Sunday.

With the bypass Fongster gets into the 2:06's and my NSX with street tires gets into the 2:09's.

BTW: I'm itching to get a ride on a GT3 at the track, hoping to see Mike (mds) at the track, given that he has quite a bit of seat time with his GT3 .

Ken

P.S. There was a Yellow GT3 with PCCB's and MPSC at Infineon at the NCRC Event yesterday, first I thought that it was mds but after following him for a lap I don't think that it was him given that he usually blows me away at Sears
