Default Alignment shop in the LA area

Can anyone suggest a good alignment shop in the LA area? (Viken?) I should be picking my car up over the next couple of days.

I may want to get a clear bra as well. I've heard that Lucent Motors is a good place. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Call Lucent motors on sepulveda in west LA. Arling and Tom will take care of you with the hunter.

Westend Alignment in Torrance. Darren, the owner, personally performs the alignment and is highly regarded amongst the Socal 993 crowd.

In addition to the above mentioned people, there's also Johnson's Alignment in Torrance. Steve Alarcon is a long time POC racer and knows his stuff. Between him and Darren, you cannot go wrong if you want your car corner balanced as well. If all you want is alignment, Tom Chan at Lucent is great too.

I'd choose Darren over Johnson's as he actually does the work himself. Lucent has the best alignment machine by far. If you take passsnegers with you on the track the corner balancing isn't really worth it.

Darren is the man even when he was at Johnsons. Old school which is actually more accurate than the machine. Second generation alignment guru. One of the best kept secrets around.

Lucent by far. They are the best and a great price.

Darren is has my highest vote.. All of my current race cars have had Darren tweak the setups.. In a pinch I used Steve at Johnson's for my 996.. The experience is night and day when you compare these two shops.

Darren being the major wrench hand at his shop will give you that personal touch and answer your questions and tune to your driving preferences...

I had a great experience with Steve but it lacked the personal touch that I experienced from many late nite visits at Darren's.. Steve is very knowledgeble but his business is operated more like a typical alingment shop where he has one of his techs work on your car.. The tech had to ask Steve several times for various specs and was unable to answer a few of my simple questions like ride height and toe settings. At the end of the day the car was perfect tho... :0

I would recommend both shops but one extra point goes the West End for giving me the Button Willow SCCA Track record in my class for the second season.

Darren is usaully booked 2 weeks so make that phone call Asap....Corner balance is a must do ...

Congrats on the new car..
