Going all the way back to bill's first post, I have additional information that may add some information (unfortunately).

Today I was driving home and after a quick romp up to 3rd gear I just basically cruised to the next off ramp. At the base of the ramp I immediately noticed the idle was way off. The car stalled on takeoff (that's a first) and basically ran like crap at idle but okay once underway. Got the dreaded "drive car to dealer" notice and did as directed. Dealer said the readout indicates that one of the cams on the left bank is off timing! WTFO! How does one cam get off timing? We thought about it a bit and decided the most likely culprit was the variocam stuck in a higher rpm position. So the tech (20 yrs experience) is going to do some basic investigative work and call Porsche and see what they want him to do. In the mean time, I'm GT3-less and none too happy about it.

Oh well...

Mike, No AC, way to chilly at the time! But you know, I could have inadvertly hit the button, but I doubt it.

Is yours a ROW car ? The DME reflash tsb was for high altitude operation problems for US and Canada cars...I got more power via my dyno results since the after market exhaust was rated for 14hp. I have a BMC filter that was not used on the exhaust mfg's dyno test. My car stock was 348rwhp. Same dyno and simlar atmospheric conditions/temperature, peak is now 372 rwhp. I can't believe that the 24hp increase was due to the filter and exhaust. Perhaps Porsche snuck in a tweak for the new program...
