Cool Strut Spin 180 D

I have a 2003 GT2 bought a month ago. I took it in to my race shop last week. As with most car the alignment was way off and uneven. We turned the struts around and camber went from =1.4D in the front to -2.9D in the right front and -2.6D in the left front with no other adjustments or shims. the rear went to -2.5D both sides. I set front at -2.5D and rear at -2.4D. We had to file the holes up front to bring the camber back down a bit. You could easily get -4D with this set up and some shims.

Good luck.

Thanks.

I guess your car was setup with the struts fully outboard (toward the outside).

I want to avoid the shims, because right now with just 7mm of them, the tires rub a little bit on the internal plastic fender cover, and I want to install wider front tires (265mm).

A little bit of tire rub at full lock still happens on my car with no shims, twisted strut tops, stock caster location and 235 MPSC tires. You can always trim the edge of the inner plastic if the rubbing is an issue with negligible impact on brake cooling, IMO.
