This is starting to become ludicrous. Are these cars this unstable in real life? GT2 owners chime in; I would like to buy my dream car sometime in the future but based on the amount of wrecks, i'd be a little afraid to drive one now....what do these cars handle like? lots of oversteer?

Schumacher, Senna and Prost did not grow on tree's, carcontrol requires a certain amout of talent, brain and practice, no car drives on it's own.

that is so true.... I wish people would learn their cars more before deciding to push the limits of them...

THAT ONE DIDN'T OVERSTEER!

These high-powered cars require skill, talent, car-control, and self-control. Just 'cause you have the entry fee, doesn't mean that you can play the game. I have instructed many drivers who do not seem to grasp the fact that monitary success does not transfer over into driver prowess.

That's true, I've met quite a few PCA guys that bought brand new 993s and 996s that still didn't understand the limits of the car and would spin them out at the simplest corners at auto-x's

Put some good tires on the car with a proper alignment and it will be just as stable as a turbo. BUT be very very careful to roll on the throttle around turns and keep it in third on the tighter ones. It is an awesome ride!

Jack are you trying to add to the mystique? Oh yeah don't forget to buy a spare just in case. Friday is open track day at WSIR isn't it?

I agree with Jack. GT2's are completely uncontrollable widowmakers that have no business being sold. (let's get the price down, I want a used one cheap).

If you believe in "supply and demand" the price should just keep going up!
Less supply with equal demand, my car should be worth the same as an Enzo soon.

I'd still die to have one... They are amazing cars and rare too! And, ever since I sat in one, and saw one in the showroom at a Porsche dealership in Newport Beach, it's a sure thing that I WILL have one!

Really, the GT2 is quite easy to drive, as long as the driver is smooth and reasonable. I think many of these crashes are related to people simple stuffing the loud pedal, ignoring the traction limit.

I think AW is right Stig.
I think many folk ignore the fact that once you get more than 400 bhp through 2 wheels, asking those same wheels to take the full force of that horsepower AND hang on round corners which are unnaturally high in any case, is nieve.
And then many would blame the car ...
Fact is , the GT2 is hugely fast and powerful and needs to be treated with respect. Therein lies the joy. Whereas most monkeys could drive a GT3 quickly, any mistake you make in a GT2 will be at higher speed and with greater weight.

GT2 safety recall..."unskilled driver's required to sell them immediately to skilled drivers at low cost"
