Intermittent Horn!
I know (I think)? this has already been addressed, however...I can't find the thread...
I'll honk my horn, sounds great. BUT>....after about 2 seconds, most of the sound cuts out, or 1 of the horns cuts out, and I'm left with a whimpy little noise that would not move ANYBODY out of my way, let alone warn them I am about to BLOW by them....
It SEEMS to reset itself with a ON/OFF of ignition, and/or some time; however, I don't feel comfortable without the FULL blasting power of my horn(s). WHAT TO DO????

Sounds like you should go to the Microsoft web site and search the knowledge base for "patches to 996 GT3 MkII horn".

My horns died when I took my car out from winter storeage. I got two from dealer & installed them myself rather than have to leave it with them. Pissed me off when they would not credit me for horns under warranty cause they didn't do job. Also new horns sound like crap.

Easy to install and are so loud they scare people, but isn't that what horns are for??

cosmos: An FYI on posting links - when you use the http button in the post reply window the first thing it asks for is the plain text/description of the link then you're prompted for the link itself. You posted the link for the title and left the actual link blank. For those that want a clickable link to cosmos' horms try this:
