Default VIN Decoder now online

Don't know if you guys saw my post on the 996 Forum.....

Just letting you know that it's now online.

You can get to it by clicking here.

If one of you GT2 owners would be kind enough to PM me your VIN I would be greatful. Just for testing purposes (DONT POST IT HERE)

Oh, by the way, there is a known bug that I am trying to fix. It says your engine type is Turbo. I'm working in it.....

Cheers,
Berny

There's a bug in it. It says GT3's are turbo.

Anybody know to decode the sequence/serial # (ex. 92519) to determine what sequence your GT3 was out of total GT3 production? I guess it's 750 for NA and 2000 or so world wide

The last 4 digits indicate the production number of the actual car. For example, the GT3's started with number 2061, my car is number 2199; meaning it was the 138th GT3 off the line. Viken pointed me to a good thread a couple of months ago, that explained the breakdown.

Any idea why they started with 2061?
