I heard back from Wheel enhancements and the BBS LM rims on the german web site are for the old GT3. Offsets are 50 and 56. Back to the drawing board.

Bill - I had already checked out the BBS - my son is GM of a the local BBS provider and got the same info as you. As to weight, I was told 22.5 and 24.5 lbs or, the same as the OZ. Makes sense since both use similar construction with forged centers. OZ uses titanium bolts, not sure about the LM though.

I like the OZ, but I would like to have 9" rim in front. In case I want to run slicks. I have a $1,000 gift certificate for a set of forge line wheels, I won a few years ago at a club race. I am going check to see what they have for a GT3 next. I bet it is still going to be around 3k even with the certificate.

Thumbs up I have a set of HRE comp wheels

HRE Performance wheels has a new wheel coming out calld the "Competition" line. My wheels now are 19/9.5 and 19/10.5 and weigh in at 20.2 and 20.8lbs THAT IS ONE LIGHT WHEEL. I can only imagine that the 18" version should be at 19lbs. The wheel is fully forged inner and outter barrel and has Titanium bolts. Great looking wheel and not to pricey.

The BBS LM offset for the rear 11" is 56mm and the front 9" is 50mm. I already researched on them. I didn't like the idea of increasing track at the rear and reducing track at the front, but they fit the car.

This is what I got from BBS (via Wheel Enhancement). They are f: 8.5"x18"ET44 20 lbs r: 11"x18"ET65 22lbs

NJ-GT those are the same wheels I had on my 993 RS race car. Unfortunately I sold both sets to the new owner. I should have kept a set, oh well. They are great wheels, but make sure you check for cracks. I had to replace two centers over a 4 year period. How much did those cost from Wheel Enhancements?

Bill, I like the look of the Forgeline WC3s I like those a lot, if you end up not using the cert, maybe I could buy the cert off of you..

i just called Forgeline and the wheels are pretty light.

8.5 x 18 19.2lbs
9 x 18 19.6lbs
11 x 18 20.4lbs

Check out pg. 61 of the current edition of Excellence for photos of HRE's 3 styles of their Competition Series wheels. I've heard that production has been somewhat delayed due to problems with the titanium fasteners.

icerbofh -

I just looked at my certificate and it is non-transferable. I like the looks of WC3 and the SX3. Pricing is comparable with Fikse and Kinesis. I heard Fikse is 6 weeks back order right now though.

Did they give you any lead time on getting wheels?

Default Factory GT2/GT3 Wheels

Are the wheels for a 2004 GT2, the same as the wheels for a 2004 GT3 (same part numbers?). Will they fit on a 2003 GT2?

Thanks,

JCM
