As time goes on, it yellows. I believe it is the resin that changes color due to UV exposure.

The carbon fiber has a tendency to crack under heat, at least the original stuff. All of mine cracked, but was replaced under CPO warranty.

The replacement has held up fine. I suspect the original batch was not as well made as its replacement.

Default Carbon fiber in 996 GT3

My 2001 996 GT3 Clubsport has many Carbon Fiber options ex. Factory. Also the Nomex seats are completely made of Carbon Fiber.
See M codes:
XMJ
XNR
XPY
XSR
XSS
See pictures.. After more than 20 years colour has probably slightly changed..

Car is not only a no-AC car , but also no-Radio, No- board computer, No- door airbags GT3 Clubsport. And the whole interior in leather. All ex. factory....I will try to make pictures of the seatbacks later.... Not easy, that are not folding seats. Moving the same, built in by complete rollcage.....
